CARMONA WINS IN A SLAM-BANGING FIGHT AGAINST LOZANO FOR THE LATINO WBO

Arcadia, Fla.- – A battle of unparalleled resilience in a Mexican war in Arcadia, Florida the hometown of Super Flyweight Daniel “El Alacran” Lozano (13-2, 10 KO’s) meets Mexico’s David Carmona (19-2, 8 KO’s) in-front packed venue at the Turner Agri-Civic Center presented by All Star Boxing, Inc. Boxeo Telemundo Ford Series. The smell of blood was in the air from the opening bell in a fight that was highly competitive early on as Carmona sticks his left jab right in Lozano’s face who marched right at him pressing the action early on. Carmona trying to pick it up in round two Lozano returning the fire with quicker hands catching Carmona with some hard right hands.  But in round three Lozano is taking the fight right to Carmona throwing left hooks then hitting him body as he backs up in exchange. In round four Carmona stepped back and boxed Lozano giving him some problems from the outside Lozano jumped right back on Carmona in five not giving him room to breath tagging him with heavy right hands. The mid rounds six through eight were highly competitive though Lozano seemed to be gassing in the stretch. Carmona smartly in a counter landed a great shot sending Lozano down to the floor in the ninth round. Just before Lozano was able to set took the bang, final round both fighters ended with a vicious exchange in the center of the ring Carmona pulls out the unanimous decision judges scores 97-92, 96-93 & 95-94.

Lightweight sensation 20 yr old Justin Paulido (3-0, 2 KO's) from Orlando, Florida. was the aggressor and slugger tonight giving Calvin Smith from Prichard, Alabama more then what he could handle dropping him a few times in the contest Paulido didn't take a step back tagging Smith while he was down referee Frank Santore deducted points from Paulido who continued to fire away right at Smith ending his night at 2:08 of round three by KO victory. Bantamweight Alcides Santiago (5-1, 4 KO's) defeated local fighter Toribio "Ruthless" Ramirez (3-2, 1 KO) with a shocking left hand that floors Ramirez out at 2:55 of round three, Ramirez elected to go right into war the first two rounds against Santiago out working him in the first then bringing competitive combat in round two, Santiago made it known he came to fight meeting Ramirez in the exchange of fire in round three earned the KO of the night.
