The Blue Jays have acquired infielder Danny Valencia from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for RHP Liam Kendriks and catcher Erik Kratz .

Danny Valencia has posted a .282 batting average in 36 games this season for the Kansas City Royals with five doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI.  The 6-2, 220 lb. right-handed batter is a career .265 hitter with 35 home runs in 371 games for Minnesota (2010-2012), Boston (2012), Baltimore (2013) and Kansas City (2014).
