There is a new scoreboard on Field Two at the Toronto Blue Jays Mattick Complex at a cost of approximately nine thousand dollars. This appears to be just one small step in the Blue Jays plan to stay in Dunedin, their only spring training site, after their present contract expires on December 31, 2017. Another project at the complex is the complete overhaul of Field One, the last remaining ball diamond that dates back to the early 70’s.  That project is being paid for by the Blue Jays at a cost of approximately  $100,000.00 giving another signal that the team plans to stay in Dunedin.. The Blue Jays do have two five-year options after 2017.
