DUNEDIN, Fla.–Canadian right-hander Nick Purdy is showing the Blue Jays that he can throw strikes and should soon be back in Vancouver. Purdy who started the season in short-season Class-A Vancouver, was sent down to the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays because he wasn’t throwing strikes, 13-strike outs and nine walks. Since joining the GCL Blue Jays Purdy is now 3-0 with a .079 ERA walking three and striking out 17 over just three games totaling 14-innings. (Photo by EDDIE MICHELS)
