Hurdle says Hi

Bradenton, Fla.–Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle showed up the the Pirates Instructional League game against the Canadian Juniors on Wednesday at Pirate City in Bradenton.      “With the season over I just came down for the last week of instructional camp and to say hi to the kids,” said Hurdle.

50 Years for Huyke

Prior to Monday’s game against the Phillies the Pittsburgh Pirates took time to honor long time minor league coach Woodie Huyke for his 50-years in professional baseball.  Woodie is surrounded by the games umpiring crew, Phillies Manager Gabe Kapler, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle and the honoree himself on the right.
