USF Football Coach’s Show Nominated For National Sports Video Honor

New Era On The Bay nominated alongside programming from CBS, Turner Sports, the Pac-12 Network and the Big Ten Network

USFTAMPA, FLA. – USF Football: A New Era On The Bay, the University of South Florida’s football coach’s show that debuted in 2014, is one of seven programs nominated as a finalist for a national honor by the Sports Video Group and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. The show was chosen among a record of more than 400 entries that were received for the 7th Annual SVG/NACDA College Sports Media Awards presented in Atlanta May 27-29.

The awards recognize the best in college sports video production from national networks, regional networks and conference digital networks, collegiate athletic departments, and students. The CSMAs aim to celebrate those who have pushed the envelope and set a higher standard for the quality of live and pre-/post-produced college sports video content.

New Era on The Bay, which aired 12 episodes during the Bulls’ 2014 season, has been nominated for best Program Series in the National Network/Professional category along side standout productions from CBS Sports, Turner Sports, Pac-12 Networks and the Big Ten Network. The USF coach’s show, which takes fans inside the program with NFL Films style cinematography, unprecedented access on and off the field and exceptional story telling, was the only university program nominated in the category.

The show returned for a first-ever spring show in May when USF Football: A New Era On The Bay Speeds Up debuted on Bright House Sports Network, FOX Sun Sports and FOX Sports Atlantic. The program will air throughout the month of May and early June and will also be available via Youtube.
