KNOWLES HONOR WITH PAINTING
By Eddie Michels on June 28, 2015Artist Jim Throne presented to Darold Knowles a painting he did of him to honor his 50-plus years in professional baseball on Thursday during the Dunedin-Clearwater FSL game. Knowles who started his career in the Orioles organization in 1961 and spent 16-years in the majors highlight with being the only player to pitch in all seven games of a world series, 1973 Oakland A’s win over the New York Mets. Local photographer Jim Goings provided the photo the painting is based on.
