Lopsided in Lakeland

Drew Hutchinson (RIGHT) (2-1) got the win as the Toronto Blue Jays pounded out 23 hits off 10 Detroit Tigers hurlers in a 16-1 Grapefruit League win in Lakeland.  Hutchinson allowed just one run on one hit while walking two and striking out one over four innings.  Josh Donaldson and Chris Colabello each had three hits for the Blue Jays while Troy Tulowitzki and Justin Smoak  each homered.  Colabello missed hitting for the cycle by a homer while Tulowitzki drove in five runs.  The Tigers could muster just three hits off the Jays staff, two by third baseman Nick Castellianos.  Former Blue Jay and Tiger starter Daniel Norris (1-1) took the loss lasting just 1/3 of an inning before leaving the field with a trainer.  It’s rumored that Hutchinson, a Lakeland native, had never won a game he pitch in at Joker Marchant Stadium even in youth games before Tuesday. The Blue Jays host the New York Mets in Dunedin on Wednesday with a scheduled 1:07 PM first pitch.
