The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have re-acquired C BRIAN JEROLOMAN on waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Blue Jays now have 39 players on the 40-man roster.
JEROLOMAN, 26, was recently claimed by Pittsburgh off of waivers from the Blue Jays roster on Friday, November 18. The left-handed hitting catcher spent his first full season at the AAA level last season with Las Vegas of the Pacific Coast League, posting a .240 average with two home runs and 26 RBI in 79 games. The West Palm Beach resident was promoted to Toronto on Aug. 23, however did not appear in a Major League game.
