Blue Jays get First Win of Spring
By Rick Sassone on February 28, 2019The Toronto Blue Jays pick up the first win of spring training 2019 with a 2-1 win over Pittsburgh in Bradenton.
The starters for both teams looked in February form as Jays starter Matt Shoemaker gave up a long ball to Bucos Jason Martin in the bottom of the first and Pirates starter Clay Holmes struggled to only get four outs with 43 pitches.
Toronto DH Kendrys Morales was the offensive hero in the spring slug-fest (facetious writer’s tone) with 2 two-out RBI.
