ChiSox call on Drabek
By Kris Dunn on March 29, 2015
The Blue Jays were out of options with Kyle Drabek. The only way for them to keep the right-hander, without reserving a spot on the MLB roster, was to put him on waivers. That is what they did. The Jays were willing to take the risk of a claim being put in on the former first round draft pick.
The Chicago White Sox came calling.
#BlueJays exposed Drabek to waivers Thursday in case another team wanted a look before camps close. #WhiteSox bit.

According to Mike Wilner, it didn’t take long for Manager John Gibbons to beckon Roberto Osuna and Miguel Castro into his office.
After Drabek left Gibby’s office, Castro and Osuna were called in together. Presumably to get good news. #Bluejays #Jays

With the loss of Drabek and the demotion of Steve Delabar, the Blue Jays seem poised for a youth movement.
Fellow youngsters, Daniel Norris and Aaron Sanchez will be relied upon at the back-end of the rotation. Now, it appears that Castro and Osuna will be called upon to solidify the bullpen.
Collectively, the four have tallied just 39.2 IP at the big league level; led by the 33 IP from Sanchez last season.
