DUNEDIN, Fla.–Toronto Blue Jays RHP Dustin McGowan (shoulder) threw three solid innings in a simulated Saturday against Blue Jay Gulf Coast League hitters. McGowan threw 51-pitches with a consistant 95 MPH fastball. Toronto has shut down McGowan’s 30-day rehab assignment with Class-A Dunedin now they can keep him on the 60-day DL, have him pitch every five days then bring him up when the rosters are expanded September 1. McGowan last pitched in the majors on July 8 2008 and has now been on the DL for 1117 calendar days and has acquired over half his major league pension time on the DL. (Photo by EDDIE MICHELS)
