Eddie the Bat Boy

On Monday April 3, 2022 it is the 58th Anniversary of the date I was the St. Louis Cardinals batboy.  I  wore number 63 and traveled via US 41 on the team bus from St. Petersburgh, Florida to Ft. Myers, Florida to play the Pittsburgh Pirates at Terry Park.  The final score was 12-5 Pirates over the Cards but the Cards did win the world series that year in seven games over the Yankees.  The one item I still have is the hat I wore during the game, unfortunately a bug or two got to it over 58 years.
