Former two time CY Young winner Johan Santana likes what he sees since signing a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays February 26th. .”I’m excited to get back into baseball, I’m in a good situation here,” said Santana, “Now I have just got to set down and see what type of program to have.” As to how soon he will be able to get back on the mound Santana said, “It’ will take two weeks to understand where we are at.” Santana hasn’t appeared in a major league game since 2012 complying a 139-78 record with a 3.20 era for the Twins and Mets from 2002 through 2012.
