DUNEDIN, Fla.–Toronto Blue Jays manager John Farrell met the press after the team’s six inning intra-squad game on Friday won by the Grays over the Blues 2-1.
“It’s good to begin the next phase,” said Farrell with the team’s spring opener on Saturday against the Pirates.  “Our concerns are to stay healthy and get results.”
As to any particular position battle Farrell said, “It’s a daily battle in left field.”

Toronto Blue Jays RHP Drew Hutchinson will make his first start of the spring on Monday March 5 when the team travels to his hometown of Lakeland, Fl. to take on the Detroit Tigers. Hutchinson said of the game, "It's just another game." Hutchinson has pitched just once before at Joker Marchant Stadium, that was in a Florida State League game in 2011.
