Fading Spring Fling

DUNEDIN, FLA.–With the Toronto Blue Jays only now scheduled to play six of their 16 spring training homes because of the major league labor problems one group of distinguished Americans will have to go without.  VFW Post 2550 in Dunedin, Florida is right across Douglas Ave. from TD Ballpark, spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays and during the games gets $20.00 each for its 100 parking spaces.  That $2000.00 profited from each game goes to the post’s service projects benefiting our nation’s veterans.  At present there is only six home games scheduled at TD Ballpark this spring with a projected income for the post at $12,000.00 instead of what was supposed to have been $32,000.00.  Again, the American Veterans take the hit.
