Good Bet, Las Vegas and Washington tied at 2
By Rick Sassone on June 1, 2018Monday night the show was on in Las Vegas and history was in the making. The first ever Stanley Cup finals game 1 in Las Vegas and the
Las Vegas Golden Knights did not disappoint the home fans. A higher scoring game than expected, much to the delight of the fans who bet the over. Ten total goals as the Golden Knights won 6-4.
The Washington Capitals did not want to go back to Washington for game 3 on Saturday down 2-0. The Capitals turned in a stellar game 2 performance led by the outstanding play of Capitals net-minder Braden Holtby. Holtby stopped 39 of 37 Golden Knights shots including 10 of 11 short-handed and an almost impossible, game saving save.
With 1:59 left in the third period and the Capitals up 3-2 while the Golden Knight were on a 5-3 man advantage and Holtby made a goal robbing stop off the stick of Alex Tuch.
The Capitals held the one goal lead to the final horn of game 2 and the series is 2-2 heading to the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. So now the big question is… Who going to win the next two games in DC? Will it be low scoring or high scoring? Game 3 Saturday June 2nd and game 4 Monday June 4th… you can bet on it, it’s Las Vegas and Washington!
