New Medicine: An Interview with Jake Scherer

New Medicine is on the rise and there’s no Prescription Needed

All you need are your ears and a craving for music that makes you move. With an energetic spirit and variety of styles, New Medicine provides different flavors of rock, mixing in a range of influences: from the Foo Fighters, to Rage Against The Machine, to Green Day. As a result of these classic influences and New Medicine’s high energy show, this band has something to offer to both older and younger fans. And I couldn’t help but notice the diverse ages of the fans at Sunday night’s New Medicine and Halestorm show at Orlando’s House of Blues.

Prior to New Medicine taking the stage, I had the opportunity to speak with their charismatic frontman, Jake Scherer on a variety of topics. Among these are: touring with Halestorm; Monster Energy’s Aftershock Festival; the “F” word; and, the effect that SiriusXM Octane and Jose Mangin has had on New Medicine’s career etc.
