It Seems That Hockey Instructors, Rink Owners and Managers Like to Hurt Needy Children and Disabled Veterans

CLEARWATER, FLA.–Back on March 20, 2021 I was the referee for an U 10 youth hockey game on the Pro-Rink at the Clearwater Ice Arena when this person in the picture tried to enter the ice surface as I was reporting a goal.  I did not know who he was as he tried to enter the ice surface via the penalty box door and was yelling at me.     Well since I didn’t know who he was or what he wanted much less why he was there with just 2:59 left in the game I was finally able to get him out of the area by ejecting him from the game.  The game then continued to it’s conclusion with no problems.  He violated quite a few USA Hockey Rules by his actions and put a number of young children in jeopardy.     During the next game, also an U 10 match, I was told by PJ, a CIA employee that the person in question worked there so afterwards my partner and I just didn’t do any paperwork on him.     Well fans that was just the beginning of a long trip thru hell and damnation for not only me but for the charity I run.     You see this person in the photo is Issac Lee who is the youth hockey director at CIA, information I didn’t know and now him and two others from CIA and the Tampa Bay Skating Academy in Oldsmar have caused the Dunedin Children’s Christmas Fund a great deal of financial stress for this coming and future holiday seasons.     As a note here the photo of Lee was taken on June 12, 2021 when he threatened me as I was doing a favor for some friends who wanted to have photos of their children taken while they were on the ice.       His use of four letter works was quite pronounced towards me as was his lack of a face mask which is required by USA Hockey.      He really doesn’t know the rules.     Well back just before April 1, 2021 my referee’s schedule disappeared from the Central Florida Ice Hockey Officials website and I haven’t had a game since.      You see the officials don’t like it when a referee calls a game by the rules which they admitted were right and including the fact that the rink owner Dr. Manuel Rose and rink Manager Tom Lindemath had part in blocking from me officiating at both rinks.     Heck Lindermath said he would met with Lee and then talk to me back in April which has yet to happen.  And then there is Dr. Rose whose illegal actions to the tune of $8.7 million dollars with the federal government has caused him to have to sell his business, Rose Radiology to cover the debt.  He should have sold the ice rinks then the fans, parents, kids and officials would be much better.     Now what Lee has caused the parents and kids is a bit much, maybe I should do something about that.

Isaac Lee Still is Continuing His Illegal Activities

As I am getting ready to report the indiscretions I have previously mentioned maybe I should mention a few more.
This photo of Issac Lee was taken on May 8th this year on the pro rink at CIA around 4 PM during a half ice mite game with a game and referee at each end of the ice.  A situation that raises numerous questions as why the officials allowed a person without skates if I remember correctly, on either game site while the matches were in progress.  Gee I hope a lawyer didn’t see it.     A question here is who trained these officials because when I was a USA Hockey Seminar Instructor in Northern New York part of our instruction was to make sure officials didn’t allow this to occur.  One must wonder what is going on here in Florida as these young players have been put in jeopardy by this person.     Now if this isn’t bad enough here is another of Isaac Lee’s other indiscretions like if you believe this at least two sets of parents have taken their young children out of CIA to play hockey at another rink.  They didn’t like the way Lee treated their children.      Then I was informed that during an intro to hockey class for new, young players Lee started yelling at the kids.   When the parents brought him to task to stop the yelling he said it was okay to teach them that, coaches do it.  Something is wrong here.     This has to stop maybe my up coming phone calls to SAFESPORT will help.  In fact Lee tried Safesport on me but the protection agency stated it had no bearing I was informed.     You see a while back Lee made false statements about me taking photos for the players parents which Safesport found were unsubstantiated.       I still haven’t been apologized to by anyone and the local referee’s association still won’t help me for calling a game by the rules so I can return to the ice.

So with all this let me just make a closing statement or two that will definitely embarrass all those who have treated me like a second class citizen.     First was the comment about me asking a player to reach down and hand me the puck during a game and for good reason I ask them.

You see on February 1, 1968 during Tet my left knee was damaged while I was saving the lives of about 15 unarmed GI’s during an ambush outside “Old Tent City B” near Saigon.  My first Purple Heart of three which not one of the GI’s ever thank me for but you tax payers have paid me for.    Then there was February 20, 1973 while fighting a house fire as a volunteer fireman in Upstate New York some how my 40-pound Scott Air Pack which was strapped to my back smashed a vertebra in my back.  This now limits my ability to pick up things at times from ground level.  We will end here on the injuries that have been inflicted on me over the years but my experience has over come some of all this.

As an official I umpired my first ball game in Vietnam in 1969 then worked my way thru college officiating sports.  Then in 1974, the same year I started playing Senior-A Hockey for the Syracuse Blackhawks I started as a referee doing only a few games.     In fact in early 1977 Dr. Edward Sugarman asked me stop playing hockey because of the damage to my knees but to keep refereeing as it was helping them.  You figure that one out.     Well I have officiated the nationals, become a USA Hockey Seminar Instructor, a referee in chief which all ended when I moved here to Florida.       At least Al Hunter at TBSA used to have me work a game or two as an instructor for his new ref’s as their training was lacking from USA Hockey.  If I remember correctly they all made it with me around and Al liked it.     All this including umpiring professional baseball, without any training and as the official scorer during major and minor league games I figure I am well qualified so please let me return to the ice.

You all see the money I make pays the operating expenses for the Dunedin Children’s Christmas Fund which I have run since it started and now you-all are blocking our good deeds.

Now in closing I will let people know what you have done not only to me personally but a large number of very needy children this coming holiday season.     A Post Script-There is more and maybe I will use it.
