Jays sign Thole

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed catcher Josh Thole to a one year contract worth US $800,000.

A veteran of seven Major League seasons with New York (Mets) and Toronto, Thole is a career .249 hitter with eight home runs and 104 RBI in 428 games. The Breese, Illinois native appeared in 18 games for Toronto in 2015, his 3rd season in a Blue Jays uniform.
