Lawrie Makes Progress

DUNEDIN, Fl.–Third baseman Brett Lawrie (left hand) continues to make progress towards a possible major league debut this season. Acquired by the Blue Jays from the Brewers last December 10 for RHP Shaun Marcum Lawrie was hit by a pitch May 31. It was at a time when the Blue Jays were in need of a hot corner guardian.
