Lind Homers-Snider K’s… Jays Beat Bosox 6-5
By Eddie Michels on March 25, 2012DUNEDIN, Fla.–Blue Jays first baseman Adam Lind continues his hot hitting of late with his second homer of the spring, a solo shot in the second off Red Sox starter Daniel Bard, as the Jays beat the Sox 6-5 in 10 innings. Lind also added an opposite field double and a walk for his perfect day at the plate raising his spring average to .306.
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Travis Snider can’t hold up on a breaking ball and strikes out during the 6-5 win over the Boston Red Sox. Snider, who was 0-2 with the strike out was optioned to minor league camp after the game ending the race for the left field spot he was wagering with Eric Thames. “It was one of those things where both guys played well,” said GM Alex Anthopoulos, “It was one of those things, we had to make a decision one way or the other.again it doesn’t mean it’s permaniate things can change at anytime. His (Snider) swing was better he has become a good defensive outfielder, it was a good problem to have.”
