Preparing for Ian’s Landfall

By on September 28, 2022

Well fans on Tuesday the 27th after a busy morning I bugged out about 12:25 PM and headed up US 19 for Crestview, Florida.  Yes, traffic on 19 was bad for the first two hours as I only moved north about 55-miles, but things were in and out for traffic until I got to I-10 West.  Then things got worse because of an accident which no one saw and east bound conveys of electrical repair trucks and rescue vehicles some from as far west as the State of Texas.  Well finally arriving at my destination, exit 56 of I 10 Westbound, the Holiday Inn which I have stayed at before with my late wife Karen.  Well after a bit of a semi comforting night of sleep I was up and about Wednesday morning.  After checking out a local cemetery containing a relative or two of my late wife Karen and taking their photos, I moved onto the local VFW Post 5450 west of Crestview.  Gee most of those vets are friendly and nice to new veteran attended their post.  Maybe I should go back there later.  By for now BUGOUT FOLLOWERS EH?
