Honoring Karen Michels

Karen M Michels, 72, passed on June 1, 2022. She was born to Howard A Buck and Rita M Buck in LaSalle, Illinois on October 8, 1949.

Karen graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School and worked at several companies in her lifetime including LaSalle Credit Bureau, Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office, Sunblades Ice Arena, and Lincare Corporation until she retired in 2015. Karen loved spending quality time with her family every chance she could and enjoyed her days out shopping with her best friend and sister. She was a dedicated mother, wife, friend, sister, cousin, and employee to everyone that was in her life, and she will be greatly missed.

She Is survived by her husband, Edward Michels, her three children from a previous marriage, Brian Gnidovec, Tricia Wood, and Jennifer Cook. She is also survived by and her siblings, Carol Wasilewski, Howard Buck and four grandchildren, Ian Cook, Roman Cook, Cameron Wood, and Aria Wood.

Karen’s service will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, Florida 33764 at 2:00 PM on Friday June 10, 2022. Following the church service, burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave North, Clearwater, Florida 33760.
