Rays Spring Three in Row
By ROCKET SPORTS and ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK on March 14, 2023St. Peterburg, Fla. — As the MLB boys of summer hon their skills to be ready for the regular season the Tampa Bay Rays are looking good. Today the Rays outlasted the Minnesota Twins 7-4 at Tropicana Field for three wins in a row.
Rays starter, Zach Eflin, threw a spring game quality start going four innings, giving up two earned runs, and striking out four. The blemish was a two-run homerun by the Twins’ Chance Sisco in the second.
Tristan Gray was 2-4 with a HR for the Rays, it was a 3-run variety which was the whole three run seventh for the Rays. The homer put the Rays ahead 7-2, which ended up being the winning run and RBI as the Twins cut the lead in the ninth to 7-4. Gray notched four RBI on the afternoon, the other coming on a double in fifth when Niko Hulszier scored.
The Rays hit the road to take on Boston tomorrow looking for their fourth spring win in a row.
