By Eddie Michels on March 13, 2011DUNEDIN, Fl.(RSEN)– PRE-GAME–TAMPA BAY RAYS AT TORONTO BLUE JAYS
Blue Jays OF Travis Snider demonstrates a new way of catching a ball in the outfield prior to Sundays 9-3 win over the Rays. “It’s like catching a
football,” said Snider who went 2-4 and scored a run to raise his spring average to .450. Snider got a late start this spring suffering a left rib muscle strain from playing golf prior to the start of spring camp.
Toronto Blue Jays mascot “Ace” entertains the fans just before the first pitch on Sunday. Then the home crowd was treated to a Jays 9-3 pounding of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Jays pounded out 15 hits including two round-trippers. One in the 3rd by Jose Bautista that was crushed to left, then one in the 7th that Eric Thames drove deep to right.
