Team Canada Pounds St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.–Sean Jamieson of Kitchener, ON hit a two
run homer today against St. Petersburg College as Team Canada beat the local collegians 12-0. Today’s game, at the Huggins-Stengel Complex in St. Petersburg was Team Canada’s first exhibition game prior to the World Baseball Classic qualifier starting September 20, 2012 in Regensburg, Germany at Armin Wolff Stadium.
Right handed picther Trystan Magnuson, nephew of the late great NHL All Star Keith Magnuson threw a shutout inning today in the victory for team Canada.
The 24 year old from Campbell River BC Mark Hardy, was credited
with the win for the Canadians.
Team Canada will arrive in Germany on Tuesday the 18th and open on the 20th versus Great Britain at 7 pm.
