The 71st Time, Spring is in the Air

The Philadelphia Phillies opened their 71st spring training in Clearwater on Tuesday with a bit of giving back to the community.  Prior to the players taking the field a St. Vincent de Paul van pulled up on the side of Spectrum Field and waited.  A few minutes later a Phillies employee came out with unopened trays of food left over from the players and media dinning rooms.  The people of the charity loaded the donations which will help ease the hunger of those in need in Clearwater.
