Whiten in Fall Classic
By Eddie Michels on November 2, 2016Former major leaguer Mark Whiten gets his cuts in during the MSBL Fall Classic in Clearwater. Whiten a fifth round pick of the Blue Jays in 1986 played 11 years in the majors for Toronto, St. Louis, Boston Philadelphia, Atlanta, Seattle and the New York Yankees. Whiten had a career day at the plate on September 7, 1993 when playing for St. Louis against Cincinnati. On that day Whiten tied two major league records during the second game of a double header hitting four home runs and driving in 12-runs. Whiten is playing in the tournament for the Central Florida Padres.
