2012 Threshers Schedule Released!

The Clearwater Threshers are excited to announce that the 2012 season has been finalized and released. The upcoming season will be similar to the 2011 schedule.

Opening day will be on April 5th at Dunedin with the Threshers home opener on April 6th at 6:30 p.m.

The weekly promotion schedule that fans have come to expect will remain unchanged from 2011. A specialized promotion list will be released at a later date.

Bright House Field will also once again host the Big East Tournament featuring the best baseball teams in the NCAA. This series will be held from May 23 – 27.

The season will wrap up slightly earlier in 2012 with the last home game slated for Saturday, September 1.

2011 Threshers Baseball Cards on Sale

The 2011 Clearwater Threshers season is drawing to a close but be sure to keep track of your favorite players and their stats with the 2011 baseball card set.

Rodriguez Named FSL Player of the Week

Clearwater Threshers starter Julio Rodriguez was named as the Florida State League pitcher of the week for the second time of the 2011 season.

Rodriguez is a 20 year old native from Toa Alta, PR. He is in his fourth year of professional baseball.

The second nomination for the award came when Rodriguez did not allow a hit in seven innings during one start.

Rodriguez is also ranked in the top ten pitchers of the league.

He is currently looking for his 16th win of the season and has an ERA of 2.99.

Used Car Giveaway August 26

The Clearwater Threshers are excited to announce that the Used Car Giveaway promotion will be returning on Friday, August 26.

This year a 2010 silver Nissan Versa hatchback will be the featured used car. This car is the “newest” used car that has ever been given away at Bright House Field.

Each person is allowed one entry and the winner will be chosen at the end of the game.

Friday’s game will also feature a catcher’s mask piggy bank giveaway sponsored by Old Harbor Bank. The first 1,000 guests to enter the park will receive a bank.

The Threshers will take on the Lakeland Flying Tigers with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m.
