Bichette still Plays

DUNEDIN, FLA. –When some major leaguers pro careers are over they might just hang up the cleats and enjoy their retirement but not Dante Bichette.  At age 50 was taking to the field on Monday the Men’s Senior Baseball League tournament at the Toronto Blue Jays minor league complex.  The photo shows Bichete hitting a single to center that was part of his team’s six run top of the ninth en route to a 6-3 win.  Bichette played 14-years in the show for five different teams with his best being in 1995 with the Rockies where he hit .340 with 40-homers and 128 RBI finishing second in the NL MVP Balloting.  The MSBL tournament is being played this week and next at the areas professional complex’s and stadiums.
