BKFC 19 Weigh Ins

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s weigh ins are done like most combat sports; in private with a ceremonial weigh in done for press and fans up on the stage. With the competitors still feisty from their weight cut, and the hot lights shining down, the tempers can flare, and as such today had a few dust offs. While nothing earth shattering to those in and around the fight game, they can help sell PPVs, entertain the fans, and most importantly get in the head of their opponent. There were only two true dust offs and a minor push during the whole event.

Dakota Olave- 138.3

Evil Hero- 139.9

After a small stare down, Evil Hero proceeded to flex his bicep in front of Olave’s face and try to nudge him away with body positioning. After this small display of intimidation, Evil threw his ‘Evil’ brand hat into the crowd.

Abdiel Velazquez- 125.5

Geane Herrera- 125.1

Velazquez came out in a skull faced hood covering his face. When he went to go in for a face off, he leaned in as BKFC President stepped in. As he pushed them apart, Herrera tossed a front kick towards Velazquez’s face, but missed cleanly. Quickly separated by security, these two kept trading words, and trying to close the gap on one another. There is no love lost between these two fighters.

Jenny Savage- 124.8

Britain Hart- 123.7

These two have had animosity for some time now. As they went to square off, Savage brushed Hart’s arm away, and it seemed to stop there. Suddenly Savage was pivoting and trying to get closer in on Hart. As security separated these ladies, the words kept flying. Out of everything

While these weigh ins are ceremonial, they give the fans and those looking to bet on the fight (where legal) the best chance to see first-hand how ready a fighter is. Was the weight cut hard? Did they take camp seriously? Are they intimidated by their opponent? It can be a very telling event, and this weigh in gave the fans and their opponents plenty of information. With this also being the first ever Bare Knuckle ‘Platform Showdown’ it will give the fans of both combat sports and social media something to get excited for. If you haven’t gotten tickets, you’re running out of time to visit www.bareknuckle.tv to order. You can also get yourself setup for the PPV there too!!
