Career Day for De La Cruz

At 20 years old Yeremi De La Cruz had who can be called by most a career day at the plate.  A game that saw him go 5-6 with nine RBIs.

     De La Cruz’s five hits included two singles, two doubles and a grand slam home run.

     “No I never have had a game like this before,” said De La Cruz afterwards.

     The 15-2 win for the Twins over the GCL Orioles was played at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota which will be hosting all of the Orioles home game during the 2018 GCL season.

     With about 60-80 fans attending the game for free they also got another surprise, the stadiums concession stand was open for business.

     It appears that the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League is moving forward.
