Clearwater Threshers first baseman Zach Green had three hits, including his seventh homer, and plated three RBIs, but it wasn’t enough as Clearwater dropped a 9-7 decision to the Bradenton Marauders Wednesday afternoon at Bright House Field. Threshers starting pitcher Shane Watson was pounded for five earned runs and 11 hits over three innings in suffering his third loss of the season. The Marauders were led by Kevin Newman and Wyatt Mathisen, who rapped out four hits apiece. The Threshers host the Dunedin Blue Jays Thursday night at 7 PM at Bright House Field.
