Elniery Garcia twirled six innings of three-hit shutout baseball to lead the Clearwater Threshers to a 4-1 victory over the Bradenton Marauders Sunday at Bright House Field in Clearwater. Garcia improved to 6-2 on the season, while lowering his ERA to a stellar 1.97. Mitch Walding smacked a two-run homer for Clearwater, while Carlos Tocchi collected three hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored a run. The Threshers (35-26) will host the Marauders again Monday night at 7:00 pm at Bright House Field.
