Green leads Threshers

Clearwater Threshers designated hitter Zach Green had two hits, including a two-run double, and scored a run to lead his team to a 5-2 win over the Brevard County Manatees Sunday at Bright House Field in Clearwater. Starting pitcher Will Morris picked up the win for Clearwater, which posted its sixth consecutive victory in improving to 13-5 on the season. The Threshers hit the road to face the Daytona Tortugas in a three-game series starting Tuesday night at 7:05 pm, and then return home Friday, April 29 for a 6:15 pm tilt against the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
