Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Michael Saunders leaves the clubhouse escorted by team Public Relations Director Jay Stenhouse to inform the media on his left knee.  “I was kind of jogging after a ball at the minor league complex and I hit a sprinkler head,” said Saunders of how he tore his left meniscus.  “I heard a pop and I tried to walk off the field.”  Acquired by Toronto on December 3, 2014 in a trade with the Seattle Mariners for LHP J.A. Happ, Saunders is positive about his return.  “My goal is to be in a major league game no later than the all star break.”  With his wife and children in town with him Saunders made the comment that, “No one is more excited to be here than me.”  No date or time has been set for the corrective surgery.
