Dunedin, Fla. — Maicer Izturis made his first rehab start last night in Dunedin vs. the Tampa Yankees.
Izturis had two at bats going 1 for 2 from the lead off spot. Leading off the home first Izturis grounded to short and in the third he singled on a rope to left. Izturis was forced to second and then stranded there as a fly ball to left ended the Blue Jays inning.
