DUNEDIN, Fla.–Toronto Blue Jays manager John Farrell throws off the mound without the benefit of a baseball during the team’s running drills on Monday.
“I’m starting easy then slowing down from their,” said Farrell of his conditioning regiment this spring. (Photo by Eddie Michels)

Jays Notes: RHP Carlos Villanueva threw 15 pitches on flat ground from 60-feet Monday with no problems. Villanueva threw a bullpen session on Friday but by Saturday shut it down because his right hand felt cold. Villanueva said he is okay now and will return to workout on Tuesday.
