MARTIN ARRIVES…

Newly acquired catcher Russell Martin arrives at the Blue Jays Mattick Complex in Dunedin on Tuesday February 10th. Acquired as a free agent Martin signed a five-year $82-million contract with the team during the off season after spending two years with the Pirates. Russell Martin (right) chats with Marcus Stroman. Stroman a former first rounder was 11-6 with a 3.65 ERA with the Blue Jays in 2014. Martin a former 17th rounder will start his 10th MLB season this 2015 and first with Toronto. Martin has 119 career homers with 540 RBI and a .265 batting average. Martin was drafted by the LA Dodgers in 2002 and played 5 seasons with the Dodgers followed by two with the Yankees and the last two with the Pittsburgh Pirates. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)
