Las Vegas, NV. – –  The wildly popular Florida welterweight Clarence ‘Son of St. Pete’ Booth, of St. Petersburg  has signed with Top Rank.  He has eight straight wins and is 10-1 with 7 KOs.
“Clarence Booth has great size with power and speed,” said Carl Moretti, VP of Boxing at Top Rank. “He  should be a force in the junior welterweight  and welterweight divisions. His fan base in the Tampa – St. Petersburg  areas will make him into a major attraction.”
Manager Pat Lynch said “Clarence is a great young prospect with a very bright future. He’s an extremely hard  worker with a great attitude.”
Booth joins Pat Lynch’s stable which includes Glen ‘Jersey Boy’ Tapia and hard-hitting contender Julian Rodriguez.
Booth began boxing at age 18. He trained with Nick Sityar in Florida and had his first amateur fight at 19. After  nearly  30  amateur bouts, Booth turned pro in 2011. All of his fights have been in Florida except for a win over  Javier  Garcia last  year in Puerto Rico.
He and his wife Natasha have four children. The ‘Son of St. Pete’ is a huge fan favorite in his hometown and  surrounding areas.
