Stroman Faces Live Hitters

Marcus Stroman faced live hitters for the first time since spring training on Thursday at the Blue Jays Mattick Complex.
Stroman was ask about it being his first time off the mound facing live hitters.
“It was great, I feel like a champ,” said Stroman, “I feel ready to go now it’s just a matter of getting my pitch where it needs to be and get back to the big leagues.”
As to when he will be pitching next Stroman said, “Monday I will pitch in a sim (simulated) game here, I will probably pitch about 40-pitches.”
Looking towards the time after the sim game Stroman said, “I’m not sure maybe get on my five day routine from there then the next one will be 55 (pitches) then 75-80 then hopefully back in the big leagues.”
Stroman who tore his left ACL doing PFP during spring training did say that maybe a rehab start in Buffalo would be possible before returning to Toronto.
