A New Era in Dunedin

By on February 25, 2020

The Toronto Blue Jays long awaited new spring home opened yesterday and it was a buzz.

When Grant Field first got a rehab in 1990 it had a capacity of 6208 then it went down to 6106 the 5509 before going back to 8500 this year. The biggest crowd I remember since 1991 is just over 6200 so this might be the largest-Eddie Michels

The Atlanta Braves first up at the new confines and the Jays tomahawked the Braves 4-3. Winning pitcher Ken Giles (which could be some Dunedin folklore quiz answer years down the line).

This building was built on the visitors teams practice half field and because of the new construction the visitors bullpen is located behind the left field fence and bellow the fans walkway.
