Austin Shields First Start

Dundas, Ont. native Austin Shields started his first game of 2017 with the GCL Pirates at Disney World in Orlando.  Facing the Braves squad Shields went 3 2/3 innings allowing one run on four hits while walking four and striking out three.  He threw 36 of his 69 pitches but only five of the 19 hitters he faced saw first pitch strikes.
