50 Years for Huyke

Prior to Monday’s game against the Phillies the Pittsburgh Pirates took time to honor long time minor league coach Woodie Huyke for his 50-years in professional baseball.  Woodie is surrounded by the games umpiring crew, Phillies Manager Gabe Kapler, Pirates manager Clint Hurdle and the honoree himself on the right.

Open Mind Baseball

If you look at the ball with an open mind it might look like the hitter has an idea eh!  The Canadian National Junior team lost to a squad of Phillies minor leaguers 8-4 on Sunday.
