Yankees 4-1 over Pittsburgh in Spring One

Bradenton, Fla. —  Yankees first-baseman Billy McKinney broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth with a three-run homer off the Pirates pitcher Richard Agustin Rodriguez.

Mississppi State Bulldog Jonathan Holder sent the Pirates down in the bottom of the ninth for the save.  J.P. Feyereisen got the gratuitous win with a scoreless 7th and 8th for the Yankees.

The Pittsburgh Pirates celebrated 50-years as their spring training home in Bradenton, Fl. on Saturday. Local city, county and state officials along with Pirate greats including Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski gathered for the pregame ceremonies.
