Clearwater Threshers Walk Off Against The Tampa Tarpons On Tuesday Night

In a thrilling night of baseball on Tuesday night, The Clearwater Threshers defeated the Tampa Tarpons 6-5 in a walk-off victory on at BayCare Ballpark.

Game Recap
After the Tarpons took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first, the Threshers responded with a run of their own, highlighted by a sacrifice fly from Luke Davis that tied the score. The Threshers grabbed a lead in the third inning thanks to a single by Jonathan Hogart, a walk by Jack Barker, and an RBI double from Tello. A throwing error allowed Tello and Barker to score, pushing Clearwater ahead.

Tampa cut Clearwater’s advantage to a single run with a two-run seventh, and tied the game in the ninth with two more runs, sending it to extra innings knotted at 5-5. In the bottom of the tenth, Manolfi Jimenez advanced to third on a groundout before Nolan Beltran delivered a walkoff single to left-center, sealing the victory as Jimenez scored the winning run.

- Top 1st: Tampa struck first, but Clearwater answered immediately after—Jonathan Hogart singled, Jack Barker walked, and Luke Davis delivered a sacrifice fly to tie the game at 1–1.
- 3rd Inning: Hogart singled again, Barker walked, and Raider Tello’s RBI double gave Clearwater the lead. A throwing error on a grounder by Will Vierling allowed two more runs to score, ballooning the Threshers’ lead.

- 8th Inning: Hogart reached via hit-by-pitch, Barker walked, and Tello’s sacrifice fly extended Clearwater’s edge to two runs.

- In the top of the 10th, Tampa failed to score. Then, with two outs and Manolfi Jimenez on third, Beltran lined a pitch into left-center. As Jimenez scored under pressure, the throw went offline—sealing the walk-off win.

- Luis Gonzalez went 4.0 innings, allowing one run on two hits with a walk, and didn’t factor into the decision.
- Eli Trop added 1.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts, though he issued three walks.
