Tampa downs Clearwater in 10, Utley 0 for 5

Clearwater, Fla. –  The Tampa Yankees beat the Clearwater Threshers last night at Bright House Field 4-3 in 10 innings.

It was a tale of two designated hitters.

JR Murphy, the Yankees DH was 2 for 4, 3 runs, 2 hits a double and homer, 3 RBI.

For the Threshers in his first rehab start of 2012, Chase Utley was 0-5 with 3 K’s and a free pass.  Utely worked in extended spring games at the Carpenter Complex last week and was eager to get into the line up at Bright House.

Rigoberto Arrebato was the winner and moves his record to 3 and1 while Ryan Duke took the loss for Clearwater (0-1) and Mark Montgomery inked his 9th save.
