Gomez and Garcia in GCL Phils Lineup

Recently acquired from the Rockies along with two other prospects for Phillies reliever Pat Neshek,  Jose Gomez plays his first game on Friday for the Phillies Rookie Level GCL squad.  Gomez went 1-3 at the plate, drove in a run and committed an error at short over his five innings.

After shoulder problems and an 80-game suspension for drug use LHP Elniery Garcia made his second start for the GCL Phillies on Friday.  Garcia allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over three innings.
