Jays 6, Boston 3

Dunedin, Fla. — The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Redsox 6-3 in Dunedin today. The Jays were propelled by homers from Jose Bautista and Danny Valencia off Boston starter Henry Owens.  Aaron Sanchez picked up his second win of the spring to move to 2 -1 and  Owens, now 0-2,  took the loss for Boston.

The Blue Jays Todd Redmond of St. Pete tossed a scoreless eighth on Thursday against the Red Sox allowing two hits and striking out one. Redmond played his college baseball at St. Petersburg Jr. College and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2004 amateur draft. (EDDIE MICHELS PHOTO)
